Maasai Mara

The Maasai Mara is a vast savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, known for its exceptional population of lions, leopards, cheetahs, and the annual migration of zebra and wildebeest. Stretching over 1,500 square kilometers, the reserve features rolling grasslands, acacia woodlands, and riverine forests teeming with wildlife. The Mara River, home to hippos and crocodiles, cuts through the terrain, playing a critical role in the ecosystem. The reserve is part of the greater Serengeti ecosystem and offers some of the most iconic safari experiences in Africa.
